General dating of pucks

There are multiple ways to narrow down puck dates based on the logos on the puck.  Here is some general information that pertains to pucks used in the NCHC.   Conference membership of the NCHC has remained the same in the NCHC since it's start in the 2013-14 season.

The first season of the NCHC had a standardized logo on the back of most game pucks.  All schools had the inaguaral season and dates on the reverse of the back except for Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State.

The following seasons had multiple different versions of the back layout.  Several pucks had the seasons of 2014-15 and 2015-16 marked on the reverse if manufactured on a Lindsay puck.  Several schools at this time also used Sherwood pucks with multiple different layouts on the reverse.  There was no standard league wide.

Most schools that currently use Howies pucks started seeing this standard layout on the reverse starting the 2017-18 season.  This reverse is still used today.
